Our primary program is our unique Needs Assessment process. At Find the Light, we are committed to addressing the concerns that students are often left out of discussions about school improvement. This is why we gather input from administrators, educators, parents, and most importantly, students, to perform a comprehensive assessment. Our Needs Assessment has been meticulously crafted with insights from developmental psychology professionals, school-based healthcare agencies, and mental health experts. We believe that the involvement of all stakeholders in the assessment process is essential to identify the strengths and weaknesses of your school, and to determine areas that require improvement.
Our Needs Assessment is unlike any other, and our process is designed to be rigorous and thorough. We use a range of techniques and tools to collect data, including surveys, interviews, and observation of classroom and school environments. This allows us to get a comprehensive understanding of the culture and climate of your school, and the unique challenges that you face.
Following the assessment, we provide a letter grade along with our detailed recommendations for improvement. We take a collaborative approach to working with schools, and we work together to develop a plan of action that is tailored to your specific needs. We believe that every school is unique, and we take the time to understand your context and your goals.
Schools have the opportunity to modify their policies and reassess after implementing the recommendations we provide. Those schools that receive an ‘A’ grade will be recognized as a Find the Light Certified Positive Mental Health Learning Community. We are committed to helping schools create safe, healthy, and supportive learning environments for all students, and we believe that our Needs Assessment process is a critical first step towards achieving this goal.
Our assessment is adaptable for students of all ages, from early childhood to high school. We understand that the needs of students vary depending on their age, and we have developed our assessment to be age-appropriate, so that we can provide targeted recommendations that are tailored to the needs of your students.
At Find the Light, we are passionate about improving the quality of education and mental health services for students. Our Needs Assessment process is just one of the ways that we are working towards this goal. We believe that by working together, we can create a brighter future for all students.
